James Cameron Finally Gets His Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Avatar director James Cameron, one of my all time favorite directors, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Friday, December 18th. Since Titanic has grossed $1.8 Billion worldwide, I would say it's about time. At the unveiling ceremony outside the historic Egyptian Theatre, Cameron was surrounded with many former and current cast members, including Zoe Saldana, Giovanni Ribisi, Michelle Rodriguez, CCH Pounder, Laz Alonso with brief speeches by Sigourney Weaver and Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger! It was quite a star-studded event.

Paris Can't Find Her Car At Kitson

Paris Hilton had an escort of 2 security guards and at least 15 paparazzi when she finished shopping at Kitson this afternoon. The pack broke up after the security guards wouldn't let the paps follow her all the way to her car by blocking the door to the garage's lower level. Most of the other paps headed back outside, but lucky for me I went to another level of the lot. A moment later Paris came back up to my level and right to where I was, because she was having trouble finding her baby blue Bently in the lot!

Lilo Lunches In Beverly Hills After India Trip

Lindsay Lohan returned to Los Angeles from her trip to India, where she was filming a documentary for the BBC on human trafficking. According to People, she also visited hospitals, handing out gifts to sick children. (Good for her!) She has tweeted it as "the most amazing time of my life." Of course, no good deed goes unpunished. Immediately upon her return the pap swarms resumed as usual. On Tuesday, a publicist let it be known that she'd be lunching at E Baldi in Beverly Hills and paps came running from every corner of the city. A lot of times paparazzi have to shoot "Hail Mary" style, meaning holding your camera over the top of the crowd of other paps and shooting blindly. I got these shots that way, and my lens was zoomed in a bit too much.

Paris, WilW, Alyssa At Seth MacFarlane's Darkside Xmas Bash

On Saturday night I was lucky enough to be covering Seth MacFarlane’s Winter Wonderland celebrating the Blu-Ray and DVD launch of FAMILY GUY SOMETHING, SOMETHING, SOMETHING DARK SIDE. It was a cold and stormy night in Hollywood. The party was at Seth's house in the Hills which was all decked out with holiday spirit. Lights on all the trees, cotton snow drenched in rain all over the grounds, and the Hills were encased in a deep fog which made it seem very otherworldly. Everyone had to be shuttled up to the property from a lot on the Strip: all the workers, musicians, carolers, and media as well as most of the guests (those without limos). A monumental task of organization made much worse by the weather. But once everything and everyone were in place, the party got rolling and it looked from the outside like a great party! Twitter royals Alyssa Milano, Wil Wheaton, Paris Hilton, and her sister Nicky (who ran in without walking the carpet), Nathan Fillion, Clare Grant, Seth Green and many more stars were all in attendance, making the rainy, cold night worth risking our lives standing in puddles next to lighting rigs.

Paris Plays Santa At Macy's

Paris Hilton helped Los Angelenos to get into the Holiday Spirit by dropping by Macy's in Glendale this evening dressed as Santa! Ms. Hilton met and posed for photos with hundreds fans who purchased one of her fragrance products. Several of whom cried when facing their favorite star... just like the real Santa! Unfortunately, sitting on Santa's lap was not allowed.

About Item9

HOLLYWOOD, 2009: Dangerous and deadly car chases. Drug-fueled starlets refusing to wear underpants. D-listers begging to be photographed. Beefy bouncers with headsets and no brains. Lap dances in the gutter. Has-beens stealing your kush.

Everyone had a story, and most of them were working on a script based on that story. The landscape had changed, and what had once been a glamorous and dreamy boulevard was now a dark and seedy underground of hanger-ons and fame junkies.

That's where I came in. I could say I did it for the money, but that would make me a liar just like the rest of them. The truth is I was drawn to it. Like an accident on the side of the road. I didn't want to look, but my camera guided me, daring me not to ignore my destiny.
